The Tascam bus has busted down and I'm taking Trailways to Recordingsville. Eight Ultra-HDDA microphone preamps deliver the cleanest and quietest operation in their class, while delivering up to 56dB of gain. Maybe my old hub is too old? Maybe I'll go buy a new hub on the off chance it will magically solve the problem - not! I'm going over to the apple store and buy a new, simple audio interface of some kind. The TASCAM US-16x08 captures 16 mic and line inputs to your computer with clear sound quality and advanced features to manage big sessions. It's not worth the time to try to make this device work. I'm skeptical that the us-224 will ever work for me on leopard, and I now give up. I have an old powered hub, but even with that and the new drivers and the uninstall, it doesn't work. If you need further assistance feel free to call us or e-mail us at Custser at teac dot com Thank you for your interest in Tascam products. On some of the newer Macs there have been changes to the USB power configuration so you might need to add a powered USB hub to go between the unit and the computer. I have attached the latest driver, disconnect the US-224 run the remover then run the installer which are both part of the attachment. The US-224 is only going to work as an audio interface for Garageband and not a control surface.
